This bump appeared on my male clownfish’s lower lip about 3-4 days ago. I was hoping it would eventually go away, but I’m starting to wonder if it’s a trophont (in which case I certainly don’t want to just wait). Any ideas? There are no other indications of a parasite anywhere in the tank- it seems too big for ich. I’m currently setting up a QT just in case; any input would be much appreciated! (Also, ignore all of the stuff in the water column- I had just topped off the tank)

Really seems too large and protruding to be ich. The fact that its been in the same spot for 3+ days means it definitely isn't ich. Could it be a coral sting?

I made a post about it when I initially noticed it, and someone else had mentioned that. It did show up the same day I added a new BTA— any picture of stings I could find online seemed to be more faded color, and not so much a single “cyst” though. I would be very relieved if it turns out to be a sting though!!

Whatever it is, it seems stable and not growing or multiplying, so I don't see any treatment direction to take right now.
