Hi there I have a question for y’all …..I’ve been in the reefing hobby for about a year now and this is the first time something like this has happened to me….I quarantine all my corals and fish before introducing them into my main display……I treat with both cupramine and prazipro in different stages and all my fish were fine, healthy and alive in my quarantine tanks for over 2 months up until now …..I’ve been losing fish and I can’t recognize what the cause might be ……they appear to be copepods but I really need some help from y’all on this one. They were all over my recent loss and it’s definitely a moving red parasite but they looked like copepods.

You very well could be right. It’s more than likely a parcitic type of copopods. https://www.saltwateraquarium.com/r...MIusPvst-t9gIVDWKGCh0LHg-NEAQYASABEgL_VPD_BwE. Is a really good one so is. https://www.chewy.com/dr-tims-aquat...MI1ILl9t-t9gIVzG1vBB16FAflEAQYBiABEgLAovD_BwE. This one won’t cure them but it will boost their immune systems. https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petco...VDWKGCh0LHg-NEAQYECABEgJMf_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds this is also a good cure!!

Its virtually impossible to detect a cause of death with a decaying carcass. You may stand a chance with a sample under microscope but slim chances.
Not sure how an assessment was made on a dead fish. Copepods, snails, starfish and shrimp will feast on a dead fish.

Fish looked very healthy and suddenly die….no white spots rashes or any sign of infection/worms/flukes parasites we’re given off……I’m still trying to figure out what might be the cause but for now I’m gonna treat with reef safe treatments.

If youre using API test kits, your ammonia and nitrate may be higher than kit is showing and been one cause.
Looking at the tail, aggression was possible
Fish getting startled and crashing into glass can be another
