Parasite on Peppermint Shrimp??

Just got this peppermint shrimp from a LFS. It looks like there is something on him... A parasite or something? Is there anything I can do to help him and get it off?

very odd, looks like some sort of isopod on it. I wouldnt put this into the tank tbh

You may have to try and manually remove it but it may be impossible given the soft body of the shrimp

If you're willing, it came out/off pretty easy. I used a tool very similar to a dental pick that came in a coral fragging toolkit. I followed this video
