Blue Tang with Flaky skin

Hi I am new to group but have been a stalker for months. I've learned a lot this group is my go to.

My main display is in fallow due to Ich all fish are now in quarantine we are nearing the 76 days. My problem is the Blue Tang she struggled through the copper (Cupramine) had to remove her after 3wks due to her not eating.

She did go through several weeks of PraziPro. My problem is the video I will try to attach. I continued to treat thinking it was a parasite or someone even told me it was Flukes. After a month I believe now it is a reaction to the copper and other meds. I also treated with Feran 2

I think I have done too much trying to help her and Powder Blue who showed a rash and lots of flashing...all other fish are healthy and show no signs of illness.

I finally did a 80% wc added carbon taking out the antibiotic (Feran 2) and the Powder Blue cleared up completely. The Blue Tang looks much better but still has flaky skin.

My question is am I truly dealing with a parasite or is this a reaction to too many meds?

Looks to me like she is trying to recover. I had one went through the same ordeal years ago. Her color looks great!
I wouldn't second guess yourself next time.You cleared up a powder blue...you got skills!

Why thank you lol this quarantine stuff have been rough! I thought to just observe her for a week and allow her immune system to kick in.

It's so hard to watch then struggle. But, I've learned a big lessons. Quarantine everything wet!!

This is parasitical and prazipro will not cure. Go with freshwater dip and then copper or furan..

I stated I used Feran 2 and after taking it out of water both fish recovered the Blue Tang is much better but not clear.

I should have included that I did several freshwater dips with PraziPro was thinking of doing another but wanted to see if this was a reaction to my use of meds.

Velvet?? Definitely not Velvet it's flaky not spots it's sitting up like skin peeling.

Much better pic. It is white spot disease similar to ich and better known as Ichthyobodo.
Cupramine for treatment and you can also lower salt level (hypo-salinity) and raise temp to 79/80 deg

Anyone else with knowledge on what's this might be? The Blue Tang went through 3 wks of Cupramine before having to be removed because she wouldn't eat for 3 wks and was failing.

Am I in error thinking this is due to over crowding and poor water conditions due to weeks of meds with few water changes in between meds.

I need to know if I am dealing with a parasite. Someone told me Flukes and later I learned it looked nothing like Flukes. I added even more meds

Hey thanks so much for your help not many people offered their help so I appreciate it very much.

I passed a video to a friend who sent it to a friend who passed it to several Marine Biologist and they agree it's stress. They noted each area on the fish including hlle.

I'm 2 wks a way from 76 days they said turn off lights and feed her few times a day if it gets worse you have a choice to either cut the fallow short or possibly lose her to stress.

Too small of a qt and too many fish in qt.

I'm watching her closely. He also said a good indication that its stress is the the Powder Blue is clean and he would be the worse. We know that to be true lol
