what the heck is this a starfish that was in the tank (bought online in use).
Or something harmful for the aquarium

Just an Asternia. It’s neither beneficial or necessarily bad. I have a couple in my tank. They multiple fast but don’t really harm anything. I’ve heard they eat corraline but mine have never. Wouldn’t worry about it.
 
I agree with Hoodstream. It’s an asterina starfish.

There are multiple species of asterina, so it’s possible that some of them are bad (some people report some species of them possibly irritating corals, I don’t think I’ve seen any solid evidence to back that claim up though) but generally they just multiply like rabbits which can annoy people (some species apparently don’t though). So, basically like the comment above said, they’re neutral.

Personally, I like them, but in some cases they multiply to borderline plague proportions. If they get out of hand you can always give some away/sell some off (it seems there’s always someone on the forum looking for some), or you can get a harlequin shrimp or two and let them get rid of the asterinas.
