hi all it’s been 2 months since my loss of
10 fish from a parasite ; the 2 survived are a tang and trigger , they are doing very well growing etc ; living in a 150g mansion...!!
quedtion is: am I crazy to start adding fish again ? Never went fallow because I couldn’t catch the 2

my post from September (below)

Died: 3 clowns , 3 flame angels
Lawnmower blenny, mandarin ,2 yellow tangs
They all died in the past few weeks
All I’ve got left is one yellow tang and a trigger
Not sure what I have I’ve seen many white spots at one point on one fish
Another got a cloudy eye others have just started acting funny and suddenly died ...

If you didn't go fallow odds are you'll likely go down the same road. The 2 fish currently left have built an immunity or resistance to whatever it was but newcomers wont be as fortunate. It's gamble in my opinion. I'd take the plunge and run 76 days fallow to cover all scenarios and treat the 2 remaining fish. Trust me, it sucks but I've had to do it twice.

It sounds like a huge risk to me! Those 2 living fish obviously had immunity to the disease or just really strong immune systems to fight it off. But, they may be harboring the disease and spread it to anything new entering the tank. I would go fallow and prophylactically treat the two living fish.

The tank is actually quite nice with just the 2 fish ; maybe I’ll just keep adding corals ; I tried hard to catch them , bought a trap and everything; haha
