Good morning, I’m using your reef safe Medic because a parasite killed all my fish in a newly started reef tank. This was told to me by the store I purchased all my fish from and who setup from the start. They suggested I use this product. I don’t recall the parasite found in the dead fish and oddly this parasite was only found in one fish. There was a total of 6 fish lost. I will be treating the water for 20 days. After the 20 days, how do you know the water is rid of the parasite? Do I just add 2 clowns to see what happens? And if so, how long do I wait until it is safe to add more?

Sorry for the loss of all your fish. It is suggested that you run your tank for 6 weeks without any fish or adding anything new to allow the parasite lifecycle to run its course without a fish to attach to.

Thank you... and I heard to wait 6 weeks and I'm currently treating the water. What a crappy start to a new tank.
