I just noticed this. The hammer has been in my tank for 5-6 months now I t just noticed this. It looks like little white eggs at the base. Do I need to do another dip?

Yes, probably you have flatworm on it, which is eating it.

Observe carefully for worms and around the coral, as they can be and on the rock as well.
About DIPs I can suggest to make few DIPs per 4-5 days at least for 2 weeks, if you have another hammer, torches, frogspawn observe and them for worms or is it something moving on them, like and for eggs on the stalks please.
