Went over to check my tank before bed and saw this moving around. I shut off my pump thinking it was water flow causing it to move, nope it’s deff some sort of parasite? My turbo snail was close to this spot so my guess it’s from him. He has been in the tank for 6 months or so. I pulled it out in one piece and tossed it in the trash. Hopefully he doesn’t have any friends. Ha (video isnt uploading currently working on it. Pics are garbage as they are zoomed in screen shots from the vid. Hopefully I can figure out how to get the vids to upload.)

It’s possible I haven’t looked into it more. Just looks like some sort of parasite. I’ve never seen a detritus worm so I’ll have to look it up.

If it was an internal parasite, you likely would not see it. They tend not to really leave their hosts, and many are too small to see with the naked eye. Out of all the worms in the ocean, only a select few are parasites.
