Hello!

Today I've received a catalaphyllia jardinei with strange white things (nudibranchs?) on it. I tried a bath with Lugol, but it didn't work. Do you know what is it and how to fix it?

Many thanks!

They look like Mesenterial Filaments to me. ( the coral guts) Usually these are used as a defense mechanism, but sometimes when the coral is stressed out they'll expel these as well.
As long as your parameters are within reason and the lighting is sufficient just give the coral some time to settle in. GL.

Thanks for your answer!

I first thought it was this (in french we are used to call this "glaires"), but it's localised only on a part of the coral, and it looks like it moves. It's on the center of the mantel (manteau ?), not on the polyps :-/

The catalaphyllia is on a little hospital tank, I must preserve my other corals from this.

I understand what you mean, but it doesn't look like filaments, it's as if there were some worms or little nudibranchs. But good news, the catalaphyllia seems to be really comfortable in is little hospital tank, it's full open (with the strange white things on it :P).
