Hi just bought 2 anemones from a local vendor. They were inside a pot. Wanted to remove them in the pot and found these. Looks like a bristle work but don’t know what kind. I did research and it says bristle worms are beneficial to reef aquariums but these look like fire worms isn’t it?? And as far as I know fire worms aren’t good. My first time having these kind of pests in my aquarium so giving me knowledge would help. And also saw something swimming not sure if these are brine shrimps or another hitchhikers. Would appreciate all the help.

Yes they look like bristle worms to me.
The color because of the pot and all they look brown to me on my screen.

The little swimmers look like some sort of shrimp.

I would not introduce any of them to the DT.
I recommend a QT period for sure.

thank you. I contacted the vendor and asked if he feeds the tank live brine shrimp and he said yes. He didn’t answer about the bristle worm. There are types of bristle worms that are beneficial but I guess those are fire worms to me. The body is like red and brown or red and black. I took out the nems and threw the pots. I Also used a seachem reef dip but will still put them in quarantine

I have to say I have never raised brine shrimp and have no idea how big they can get.
But the ones you see in your video for sure would be full grown adults.

The vendor just responded and confirmed it was a fire worm. The ones on the picture are the fire worms good they they were in a pot and not hanging out on the nems. The video I posted won’t play. But these were the brine shrimps. These little tiny ones.

SO the vendor sold you fireworms without telling you?
