Pareidolia & bright red algae????

I think with coralline you can actually see a distinct edge to it as well. it will be It’s colour and smooth right to the edge (almost looks like the candy coating on nerds candy).

Cyano I think kinda looks more blended with the rock on the edge from my experience.

Hit it with a Turkey baster. Should come off easy if its cyano. Net it out or just let your filtration catch it. Just part of the uglies.

That red spot looks more like coralline than anything else. Just because the tank is new doesn’t mean that you can’t have a little coralline. The algae man on the other hand looks like cyano, and it should be easily removable. The fact that the spots won’t blow off is another indicator of coralline. Also, I wouldn’t recommend removing the rocks and scrubbing them.
