I am new to dosing my tank and I have started my 7-day parameter test to find out what's going on every day.

Between my Alkalinity, Calcium, Magnesium. my Alkalinity is the only parameter dropping as of today. I'm only on day 4.
Started at 7.6 dKh sunday night and as of last night it was 6.7 dKh

Salt - Res sea coral pro
Test Kit - Red sea
Weekly water changes

Corals:
majority soft corals
A couiple large birdsnest colonys
Monti caps
handfull of Euphyllia (torches, hammer, frogspawn)

I'm curious if this is common. any info is appreciated!

if alk declines by 0.9 dKH, calcium will decline by zero (if the alk decline is from nitrate accumulation) to 6 ppm (if the alk decline is from deposition of calcium carbonate), and magnesium will decline by much less than 1 ppm, neither of which change is reliably detectable by kit. Thus, your observations are normal.
