Can you guys please post some pics of your tanks if they’d partially blocking a window? My wife wants me to build an electric fire place mantle on the same wall I wanted to set up my 48” 100g. She’s always wanted it since before I had a reef tank. So the mantle will end up pushing the reef tank over to the left leaving about half the tank in front of a window. So now I’m wondering if I really want to set it up that tank there or get a smaller tank.

It's up to your aesthetics of the room. My tank completely blocks the use of a window. I have black on the back panel and have the shades drawn for light/insulation from the outside. Hard to see but those are shades behind the tank, at work so don't have a better picture at the moment

LOL, going through the windows on either side of the corner of the room is how I gain access to the back of the tank, controller and pump.

I'm glad it doesn't snow here.

I don’t think I’ll be able to completely go over to the left because my house has an enclosed porch. I don’t know size the of the joists over the porch I just know they switch directions. So I don’t think I can put the whole tank in front of the window. And I don’t know if I can live with half the tank in front of the wall and the other half In front of the window guys I have ocd.
