Hello, I’m here to ask about something with my saltwater tank, so for my tank it’s had this issue where the water has particles in it they’re like everywhere within it kind of tiny but large enough to see, my initially believed this was caused by the fact I was using the Instant Ocean salt as ive heard this salt can mix dirty, I have since then switched to Red Sea Blue salt which already the saltwater I mixed is crystal clear compared to the Instant ocean salt, but I’m wondering about how many gallons of water or how much time will it take before these particles go away? Or does anyone have an idea of what else these particles could be from im open to all answers.

What’s your mechanical filtration? A filter sock, filter floss, mechanical roller..

I have the fluval evo 13.5 Tank, the only mechanical parts to my tank are the filter it came with, the filter sponge in the middle compartment and the protein skimmer.

The filter sponge should take care of the particles in the water. Are you having to clean it every 3 or 4 days?

Just a wild guess, is it possible what you are seeing are micro air bubbles from the filtration? They can be deceiving.

I was doing a water change 2-3 times a week when I was trying to fix the water chemistry

If they are is there any way to fix it since they’re throughout the entire tank.

If it's micro bubbles, they are probably coming from the skimmer.. I'm not familiar with the skimmer in your AIO. Sometimes a piece of foam or sponge between the skimmer and the return to the tank can trap the bubbles.

If it helps the skimmer in question is the fluval mini skimmer I can try putting a piece of sponge at the intake.
