Hi folks,

New reefer here from Victoria, BC. In love with the Salish Sea, but warm water critters make me happy, too.

I wanted to be a marine biologist when I was a kid, subsequent to an unforgettable encounter with a dolphin... but I ended up as a psychotherapist instead. Now I can do a bit of both in my office!

Fluval Evo 13.5 observation tank
Cobalt AIO 40g breeder

Planning for mixed reef and already think my 40g is too small - it's not even wet yet. I've got it bad.

Welcome! Glad you joined.

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I wish I had started when still in planning stages, which sounds like you are at right now on the 'not yet wet' 40g. Instead, I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID). Entirely up to you, but you might was to do a thread for each of your planned tanks (including the next one after the 40g)

This might help you find people local to you in BC:

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:
