Currently on day 7 of tank transfer. I noticed these marks on this guy at day 3. He/she is the only fish i have in quarantine. I'm feeding a variety of different high quality pellet foods mostly geared towards herbivores. Anything would be appreciated. Thanks

Oh I forgot to mention that he/she doesn't seem stressed and is eating eagerly.

Feed it some good food. Frozen mysis, Lrs reef frenzy, high quality pellets are still worse than the lowest quality frozen. Attach some nori for it to graze as well. Can it fit in any of the pipes you got? They need to be able to hide.

No he is rather large so I'll need to buy a pretty big pipe for him. I'll give him some frozen foods from here on out to see if that helps. I also noticed that he has a sore on the side of his mouth yesterday that I forgot to post. Here is a low quality image of the sore.

Ouch. @HotRocks any tips ?

Blotches can be indicative of infections or damage. Sometimes a stressed tang discolors oddly. Is this something that's occurred gradually or "suddenly". Is it intermittent or constant with this appearance?

Marks on the sides of it's body have been there since day 2 or 3. They haven't seemed to get worse or better. They are most aparent when there is natural sunlight in the room. The mouth sore I noticed for the first time yesterday as a bump, and it seems a bit worse today. I have a drawer full of medications. I have done tank transfer many times, but I think this might be the first time I actually need to use any of the medications.

I would do a 5 min FW dip to rule out flukes

Ok so the freshwater dip was interesting. He didn't play dead like all the other fish I've dipped have done in the past.
During the dip I didn't notice anything on him turn opaque, just what seemed like his slime coat shedding.

After the dip I examined the bottom of the container and found what looks like 3 tan worms and a bunch of tiny white dots (I'm assuming the dots are flukes).

Should I start prazi pro, general cure, or something else?

I'll start soaking his food in metro or general cure with focus.

Attached are some pictures of the white dots and tan worms.

There were a couple black dots in there too. Not sure if it's dirt from my strainer or if they came off the fish.

Are you sure the tan worms aren’t poop? I see the dots you mentioned and if they resemble sesame seeds they could be flukes. You can dose Prazi to treat for flukes then dose again in 5-7 days. Make sure to add extra aeration in the tank as Prazi depletes O2.

I have a very cheap microscope if that would help. I don't know if I will be able to get any pictures with my cellphone through the eye piece though.

I would give the microscope a shot.

It's hard to tell if they resemble sesame seeds because they are tiny (the size of very fine sand) some of the biggest ones might resemble sesame seeds.

A fluke after a FW dip typically resembles an opaque sesame seed. Some are large some are small

Here ya go. I may have crushed them while trying to get them out of the container and onto the slide. I can try again if needed.

Tried again. Not the best results. The large thing I think is the dirt I was talking about
