Yeah, I wondered the same myself about the gender. Could the nurse be neuter? I don't know. The dominant pair breed monthly and the nurse takes turns fanning the eggs, but I do not believe he/she takes part in fertilization. Honestly haven't watched carefully and just assuming. It was interesting that up until the nurse moved into the H. Mag. he/she was about the same size as the dominant male, but now the dominant male has grown in size relative to the nurse.

I bought a group of juveniles from one location all the same size, and a larger juvenile from a separate provider, and introduced them all at the same time with 2 anemones in the tank. The pair entered the H. Mag. almost immediately and fended off all the others, but for reasons I will never know let one juvenile remain unmolested in the second 'nem. I removed the juveniles that were being harassed, found them new homes and then left the trio in the tank. The dominant pair tolerated the third clown so long as he/she remained in his own separate 'nem, but about a month ago the third clown finally moved in with the others abandoning his Bubble Tip for the H. Mag. which Ocellaris greatly prefer naturally. Can't tell you what changed. I think just time.
You are correct. They are anthias. The colors are off because of the LED lighting and the camera. I was using a filter, but the colors are still not as they appear in real life.
