Well its time i get started on my tank to. Here's what i plan on useing in my set up..

Tank: Standard 29gal Marineland Cube Plus HOB Overflow
Stand: Standard 29gal Marineland Cube stand
Sump: 10gal Tank
Return: Mag 12
Lighting: 250 watt 16k Metal Halide 2X 32 watt Power Compact LED Combo
Skimmer: SeaClone 100
Powerhead: Tunze NanoStream 6025

Im going to also try to get an ATO Ractor and a Refugium all added in plus try some PVC Aquascaping. There is live sand in the tank from the old setup that im going to use, But 90% of the water was trashed so i could move the tank, So still planing on a cycle. Will post pics soon.

Here are a few pics of the tank in place and level, still cleaning the pumps and sump. Hope to have it dry plumed by the end of the day

Yay Pat! A mag 12 on a 29 though? That's a lot of return. Are you going to have a valve to slow flow or just leave it as is?

Alright! Can't wait to see the progress!!

Gonna be cool man!

Got some more work on the tank done, All the equipment got cleaned and I got some of the dry pluming done and the equipment in the sump layed out nice for the sump.

Retun and drain lines looking good

I'm thinking that doing the return lines like I have them will even out the flow of the Mag 12 but I put a valve on just in case

Plus I like how it makes the tank look lol

Here is the clean rimless 10 gal sump lol, had to make a DIY sock holder but I think it looks good.

And here is how the sump will have to be set under the stand, it will have to go in this way under the stand, trust me I tred everything even taking the bottom of the stand off to try and fit that 10gal under there, but the stand inside is 19x18 10gal was 20x10. So the tank will be set sideways with the sock in the back and the skimmer heater and return pump up front.

Going to fill and start it up tonight, Update everyone in an hour are two.

nice setup up,but a little advice you shouldn't put a fan in your tank because you have the two pipe on the sides that will crate your currents.by putting the fan on the side it will not go to the return.the way that i know this it happen to me.

Great tank! We got some members bringing the heat! HA!

The return pump is running at 50% of max power, The idea here was get a pump to give me maximum flow without out running the overflow... So in the end I still would have needed a circulation pump to make up for the return pump being cut back. And in end more flow = Zero dead spots lol

that good,it look like you are going to have awesome tank.

Great build and thanks for all the photos. That a lot of flow in that tank the Mag twelve is insane and probably a good idea ! I will be interested to see how that works for you and how the corals react; most likely no detritus build up eh!

Following..

Build is coming along... Great to see water in there and thanks for sharing the pics!
