Paul's 29 Gallon Biocube build

Hi, I found it very difficult to run the Biocubes. I have the same as you and ripped out all the plastic and placed a small 5 Gallon refugium in the stand. Also use a overflow box in the back.
That allowed much more space in the tank !!!!
Then I took the plastic canopy off, and installed a 250W Hamilton cayman pendant.

Just for ideas, otherwise your cube looks great.

I had thought about adding a decent hang on back fuge to add to the overall water volume...I don't have space currently to do one under the tank. So far the small fuge in chamber 2 has been working great though.

You can always just get a aquaclear filters and gut it out and turn into a fuge with some sand rock answer cheato

Hasn't been much change...tank is still happy and healthy. I've found that I have 3 medium sized serpent stars living in the tank...each around 5-6 inches from tip to tip. Was surprised that they've stayed hidden this long. I'll have to get a pic next time they come out.

I manually dose calcium, magnesium, and iodine as needed...which ends up being about once a week.

Nothing much going on with the tank - everything is still looking good. I am seeing a lot of growth within my Kenya tree, blastos, and zoas.

Careful with that Kenya tree. It was one of the first ones my buddy put in his 180 and it took off like a firestorm and not just where he put it. It spread from one side of the tank all the way to the other.

Hello everyone,
I was looking at my tank this afternoon and found that something or someone in my tank has destroyed my duncans. Any thoughts? All other corals in the tank are fine and all other corals are soft corals. In the tank I have:

2 Fancy clowns
1 Tri-color wrasse
1 Diamond Goby
2 Peppermint shrimp (I am wondering if they are doing it)
1 Cleaner shrimp
1 Blue leg hermit
Numerous astrea & nassarius snails
2 Serpent stars

I have attached pics of what my duncans looked like 2 days ago and what they look like today.

Unfortunately I lost the tan Duncan - the green one though is fine after losing just the 1 head. Not sure what on earth happened.
