Paul's 40 Gallon Reef

I hope you get good results with it! It's always a bonus when you can find a good product in sw equipment that doesn't cost an arm and a leg!
Thanks me too! It seems this is an extremely new product. Not sure when they released it. I don't mind being the guinea pig on this one..

Picked up a really nice pink color hammer today. Its small but has 3 head with one of them splitting. I couldnt capture the color of this one. It still isnt fully extended yet either.

Picked up bigger and controllable return pump and installed it today as well. I've been meaning to do this for a very long time. The old mag drive model 3 is still running strong though. I got one of the Jecod/Jebao DCT 4000. Very good price and strong recommendation from my buddy. The flow in the tank and through the sump is SO much better. The feed button on the controller is a nice touch. No more unplugging the return pump to stop flow.

Great shots! I've been thinking about getting one of those!
Thanks! It hard to focus on some things. And blocking the light with arms and hands is tricky too. Lol. They are nice though. I had one before but it got so buffed up with micro scratches. I plan to take good care of this one!

Well I got my new light in today but Reef Breeders sent me the wrong unit. They sent me the 48 v2 instead of the 24 v2. Thats a really good deal, but its a foot longer than my tank! Just sent it off and waiting for the right one.... again. In other news by buddy (FTS owner) texed me a photo of 2 gold torches that came in this morning so I ran down there and had to pick one up. Here are some photos of it now, not fully extended yet. I just epoxied it to a rock under the sand for stability. This is absolutely my favorite euphyllia and probably my favorite piece in the tank. I hope it does well!

The text photo. I got the one on the left.

Finally got my Reef Breeders photon v2 today. These things get bright when the intensity is cranked up! I programmed it to not go over 60% on the whites for now. Don't want to melt anything. The wattage is only 10 watts difference from my old fixture though. This one creates a real nice shimmer compared to my last one as well. Very nice looking so far. Here are some cell phone shots.

Nothing really new to report. I did pick up a single emerald crab the other day to see if he will clean up a tad bit of bubble algae I have. The new Photon V2 and Jecod DCT4000 are working very nicely. Here is a little actinic gel sheet photo dump though!

Picked us this little Midas blenny yesterday. Still pretty shy and all the tankmates appear to be behaving. Hes hanging out in the weirdest places. He thinks he is the master of disguise! Silly blennies!
