Hi guys, about a month ago i've inserted 3 sps in my tank, first ones. 1 turbinaria, 1 monticap red and 1 pavona. Monti's was doing fine but then found some nudi's eating monticap and i've took it out since a week. Turbinaria seems doing fine too, polips are out and all.

Pavona seems to do good aswell (from a noob pov) but i've noticed some withier part, that i don't know if they are part of it growing or dying. It seems to doing fine otherwise, polyps are out.

Is it normal, is it bleaching?

Light is a K7 mini. Coral is at 35cm from the light.

Hi ,looks normal to me, melt edge on plug , full PE on petals , think you're good to go... :)

PE , polyp extension. from pics I see nothing wrong .
you're concern was bleaching, not seeing that in pics
if you still think problem , try a few more pics showing what you think is problem area...

I'm not really sure i call it bleaching just because is more white than other parts. But if you guys sees nothing i'll get that as a good sign that isn't anything at all.

I have the same question with a different type of pavona. I thought I'd necro this thread rather than start a new one. My potato chip is developing a white edge all the way around.

This has been in my tank for about 3 weeks, and is a first step into sps. I'd like to think this is growth, but I'm looking for a reality check in case I'm doing something wrong. I'm sorry the pic is a bit fuzzy; the coral is in a place that is causing me to struggle with focus.
