Pavona? Is it still alive?

When I got this coral I was told it was easy to take care of...just to place it medium to high in the water column and dose phytoplankton.

Bring it up a little. It has algae on it which indicates lack of water flow.
They need moderate light and water flow.
Temperature 77-79
Salinity. 1.025
Ph. 8.1 - 8.3
Alk. 8-9
Mag. 1300
CA 450

It’s been in for 201 days.
ph is between 8.2-8.4
Ammonia has been and still is 0
Same with NO2
No3 is almost 0
Salinity is 1.025

Thank you I’ll try bringing him up toward the middle of the rock formation. I was told high flow and thought high flow so it’s maybe too close to direct filter flow. :/

Do you guys think it’s still alive? It looks dead to me. No polyps, no real color and it shouldn’t have algae growing on it if it’s alive should it?

It looks dead, but there may be some tissue living deeper in the skeleton. I had a pavona coral arrive with a white skeleton, brown jelly was all that was left of the living tissue. Just because I could see a tiny bit of live tissue deep in the skeletal rigdes, i acclimated anyway. It recovered, and i have a healthy "freak hair" pavona.
