Believe it was a pavona coral that was given to me

lighting needs for these

Right now have it bottom qtr, lights are radion xr 15 pro lps/soft setting as thats my aquarium…@ 60%

so far after 2 weeks seems ok, wondering if need to go higher

Tank is 24” tall with lights about 8 “ from top

Literally anything works with those. Be very careful with placement. I regret ever putting one in my tank. Invasive is an understatement. They put out sweeper tentacles that can be 4+ inches long and will kill AND overgrow literally anything. I have entire acro colonies that have been taken over by those, 10” ones at that and once it gets a stronghold it’s almost impossible to kill.
 
Put in lower third surrounded by mushroom corals

will be i teresting to see what happens
 
Nice Pavona. Our Purple Pavona likes being in the upper middle part of the tank with a medium waterflow. Lighting is in the mid-range. I say experiment a bit like what's been recommended and your Pavona will let you know if it likes its spot and lighting
