Pax Bellum Arid n18?

Have I been reading Pax Bellum web information wrong? I thought that the ARID reactor can successfully replace a refugium.

To be honest, this was several months ago and fresh off MACNA. At that time, this is what I was told at the Pax booth. If they say otherwise now, well then there ya go.

IMO there shouldn’t be any reason the ARID could be a decent replacement for a traditional refugium where growing cheto for nutrient export and pod cultivation is the primary goal. I plan to add an ARID for this reason if I can find the room in my sump for one.
