Is this a different group than the PBMAS? I'm not down there yet but in the Summer I will be moving to the North Palm Beach area and I would like to join local reefing groups.

Hello everyone,
Just moved out to Florida in 2010 . I live out in the acreage
I’ve been reefing for 10 years or so.
I’ve been looking for local reefing buddies lol
I have a 75 gallon right now . I’ll be tearing it down soon for my
Red Sea S500 build. Just recently started a build thread.
Hopefully I will get to meet a lot of guys and gals out here that love this hobby like I do

www.pbmas.org you can also find us on Facebook.

Please post a message there and we can look at setting up meets and building up pbmas to where it used to be as it’s a very large group of is here.

I do not believe on here, I’ll have to reach out to the pres. We do have a section on RC however the participation by members is pretty much non existent. This used to be one of the largest reef clubs in the country and we are building it back up but need people to be active, not just a handful.

Participation by members are very limited also. The head officer hasn’t been on there since January 24. I signed up but I’m still waiting to get activated. Does anybody know how many actual active members PBMAS has? The reason why I created this group is because when I anounced myself and my location when signing up here I got a lot of responses from people living in the West Palm Beach area. With life being so difficult sometimes it’s hard for people in the Palm Beach County area to make a trip from Boca to Jupiter. I have no problem creating a local group here in West Palm Beach but we will have to wait to see the kind of response we get. This is not something I can handle on my own so I will need help from others.

I’m down for whatever. Personally I miss the local club scene, as there is nothing down here but there are a ton of reefers in the area.... maybe it’s the sfla snobbery?? Anyway I’m an officer on pbmas but down to join a mother club or we can use pbmas and build it back up. All the positions within the club are apparently open as nobody voted or nominated anyone last month. Randy the pres always responds via fb messenger when I message him.

The guy that has it now is in Jupiter. I’m really not sure if he will turn it over, the club was given to him at one point so who knows, I will ask at the very least.

I live in Port St. Lucie and there is certainly no club here or anywhere closer than palm beach.

Just check their page on RC looks like that died also. Wondering if I should start fresh or try to take over the name if they want to give it up. They may have a bad rap
