Hi all.
Sharing my acclimation cage i made for my Powder Blue Tang out of egg crate. Its 24×9×9 inches . My tank is 84x24x30 260g.

I have a Powder brown, Regal, Kole, Purple and Yellow. I know adding the PBT has some risk and this is the first time i am trying a cage to help intro these guys together.

All Tangs and fish have been quarantine before they go i the display i use tank transfer as my preferred QT method.

Today is the first day in the cage. I am nit seeing any aggression at all directly to the PBT. Almost like they dont care which i thought was strange. I was planning to keep him caged for at least 3 days and he wants out bad. Any recomendations on how long he should stay in tge cage? Would a week be better or will it not really matter after 3 days?

Cheers
Dave

3 days should be fine assuming no one is posturing aggressively next to him. An acclimation box is a tool, you won't know if the tangs are truly compatible until the PBT is released into the general population.

I’m thinking that’s the best way to go. I wish I would’ve done that.

I’ve ordered an Elite Aquatics acclimation box and been charged for it but I’ve not received it nor can I get a helpful response from Elite Aquatics via email or this forum.
