I've had the fish for 3 years, upgrading tanks so I decide to QT and treat for ICH while I have the chance (cuprimine). Been in copper for 2 weeks and wake up this morning and he's just getting blown around the tank, still breathing.

I have him acclimating to the big tank water now fairly fast... still not moving unless I poke him... just swims a sec and falls back over.

All other fish in the QT look normal

Any more I can do?
Planning on acclimating and putting him in the 180 if he's still breathing in a hour or so.

what a string of bad luck... lost my 3+ year old Snowflake Clown Yesterday to Jumping... still don't know how she got out the tank was covered...

Really makes me sad, the clowns and PBT were my absolute favorites too. :(
Guess it gives me a little more options on fish additions now... Time to start a new Thread.

Sorry for your loss. :( What brand of copper did you use, and did you test to ensure it was within therapeutic levels? Also, what about ammonia?

He ate normal last night and was swimming around normally before I went to bed at 2am, woke up at 9am or so when I Found him.

Did you have enough gas exchange (powerhead pointed towards the surface or airstone running) in the QT? Do you have a glass top on the QT blocking gas exchange? Acanthurus tangs need a lot of oxygen, especially when being medicated.

75g RR 20g sump, Screen Top, Jebao RW-8 pointed at the top that even sucks air from time to time.

Sounds like that was more than enough QT for your PBT. It doesn't make any sense for him to go from eating one day to dead the next. :( Without any signs of copper intolerance.
