New growth from what it sounds like and the Millie doing great by it.

Does the transparent area look unhealthy? sometimes when SPS grows, it grows white/transparent. How are your other pieces looking? PC Rainbow is one of the hardiest SPS.

I don't think it's healthy cause the base grew out green with red polyps and it's not growing its receding transparent towards the base

Have you inspected closely to see if there's possibly pests?

Can you get a clearer photo in real lighting? It looks fine to me in these photos - new growth like mentioned above.

Not that I could I noticed it a week ago and hasn't got a whole lot worse. I guess I'll pull it for a dip. would to much light cause it. I wouldn't think pc rainbow would be the first to go if it was parameters.

What lighting are you running? I don't think it would be the issue.

Try dipping it and really inspecting it. Look for any bite marks or eggs while you have it out of the tank.
Hard to tell from the pictures but take a good look at the base. Is it like smooth flesh or is it jagged skeleton like?
If it's smooth then it's just new growth.

Radion gen 4 but it has only been that high up for a couple weeks

If you dip and don't find anything and it gets worse over the next day or two, my advice would be to frag the top half to try to save it.
But make sure you cut a good distance above the dying/bleaching part.

Photo is blurry but that looks like normal base growth. You aren’t going to get that deep green in higher light. I have to separate frags/ colonies one high, one low. The colors are totally different. Especially around its base.
