PDR's RSR 350 - Retired

Their chest is usually blue as are the eyes and the dorsal fin outline. My kids say it is a mood fish. He has shown blues, pinks, purples, greens and turns a muted orange when sleeping or afraid. This one is African (as opposed to a Maldives specimen).

BTW, he does have times where he is almost pure banana yellow.
Sweet. Just secured myself a Midas. I pick him up in the morning lol. Is $50 a decent price?

I told myself I was done adding fish to this tank, would only buy captive bred, and had sworn off LA and DD.

The problem is I had this gift card burning a hole in my pocket and @NY_Caveman had to come in here blabbing about how awesome his Midas blenny is...

It just so happens DD had a Midas blenny...

And I still had a lot left on my gift cards, reward points and of course they had one of these which I’ve always wanted....

I have no self control :(, wait no I’m blaming @NY_Caveman thats right  :p

I am 100% an enabler. Both fish are beautiful. Did you do this pair on purpose because the Midas Blennies often school with Anthias?

Nope lol. I didn’t even know that was a thing, I have just always wanted one of those guys.

Anxious to see the results if anything is elevated

Yeah for sure. This is going to be a slow couple of weeks.

Oh and pretty sure I just now found out that if you hit reply it automatically quotes the post you hit reply to, only took me 3 1/2 years to figure that out lol.

Thanks! If you're ever near Greenville let me know!

Thanks for the invite! Last time we were down that way was over 4 years ago. Drove down to Columbia to see my son graduate from boot at Ft.Jackson. Beautiful county down there!

I ended up moving the gorgonian to the center rockwork. I also moved a 2" "long polyp" toadstool and nepthea to the center rock, but they are kind of hard to see in this pic as things were still closed up from the move.

I'm on the fence about the gorgonian. Do you think it looks better or worse in the center?

I like it. How's it's location In terms of flow?

It's getting hit pretty hard but it's pretty random and from both sides. I have a frag of it under similar flow in my frag tank and it is doing really well.

That's the only concern I had. If it's happy with the flow, then it's location looks good to me.

I like it, but you could always take a cutting off it and place it someplace else to spread it out ;)

I agree, it's in need of a trim and the far left side of the tank does need something. I also have some corky sea finger I need to get from my frag tank and find a place for it. I love that stuff.
