PE Growth problem

So I have had a frag of the Green Stardust PE. They where doing great. Then they started popping out babies. Now the babies are almost ready to open but it looks like the big polyps that have babies on them are melting. The turned inside out and now are kinda just stubs. None of my other zoas are having a problem. Do most PE have a problem when popping out babies or is something going on with them?

Mine will usually close-up before sprouting offspring, but I've never had them melt as a result of reproducing. You sure they are melting?
