I remember my old dog faced pufferfish. He would always greet me at the tank, and beg for food. However they are not reef safe.

Are their any peacful, reef safe fish that are like a dog faced puffer?

Depends on the size of the tank. I have a Naso Tang in my 240 and she follows me wherever I go in the room. If I am up close or working on the tank, she is always right there look at me and asking when is dinner time..

Blennies are usually pretty interactive, and most smaller wrasse species might be shy at first but after learning their feeding schedule get really personable.

Once the fish associate you with food, they'll follow you... Ie my tangs wrasses shrimps and clowns

Lawnmower blenny, flame hawkfish, and longnose hawkfish are a few that come to mind. They always seem inquisitive and are attracted to people or cameras:

My green chromis hide when i get close (10 of them).

+1 for hawkfish, -1 for having many inverts with them.

What about mid swimmers like nasos and tangs, whats not shy?

I've had several hawkfish over the years and never lost any shrimp or hermits. I bought 40 hermits 10 years ago and still probably have 20 left, some huge and some small

I should have been more specific on inverts since hermits and most other crabs do fairly well against any small predator, and yes each hawkfish will act different in each tank. I on the other hand have definitely seen my fair share of Skunk cleaners and Peppermint shrimps meet their makers with Flames, and Longnose hawkfish. Not in my tank specifically because I've either had a good feeding schedule to keep them off my inverts or the Hawk's were more interested in being a good "reef safe with caution" fish ha. It's the same argument regarding most angelfish and picking on sps. One guy has a angel not biting on his sps and another cant get any polyp extension because he has an angelfish. My philosophy would be no matter what fish you buy to always have a plan B and a plan of action of taking it out if the situation goes south as quickly as possible, which I understand is a complete other long list of problems haha.
