What would you think is the most peaceful that is a shoe in to host in a rbta? Woukd it be something in the clarkii complex? Looking at a spotcinctus as an individual only and was curious how it would do long term in reefer xxl with a lot of peaceful fish.

Never had really any luck with these before. Here is why I ask. I have a very old Peach Skunk Clown that has been hosting in my rbt for probablly a decade. The fish has to be close to 15 years old now. It stopped eating a week ago so I have in qt and am pretty sure its just slowly wasting away. The only reason I kept the anemone was for the clownfish. I have a ton of sps corals so the concern is always about the anemone moving. Without a clownfish hosting in the anemone its probablly not worth hanging on to it.

I would consider clarki pretty aggressive normally, right there w/ maroons.

Skunks are first to come to mind for peaceful(as clowns go) that would take to a BTA, usually much sooner than occ or perc

While most clowns in the Clarkii complex tend to be more aggressive then some, the Spottys specifically seem to be one of the more docile of the bunch. I honestly feel that are a good choice if you're looking for a more docile fish that is also a clown and will host a RBTA readily.

^^ That's one clown species I have never had personally.

I will add to this that if you get tank bred, of most any species they do tend to be more peaceful, at least to the human hand usually
