Peach tip torch coral

Hi all purchased this recently from online vendor and was wondering if it is supposed to look this bleached out? Light is AI Prime.

sorry to be that guy but there are no white torches (or white corals for that matter) so it looks extremely bleached to me

I'm assuming it came like that - if so, it definitely should not look like that. I'm not sure what you're thinking as far as contacting them/returning it but it can definitely come back from this! It will take a while but you'll see color return soon!

other than the color it looks pretty healthy so I would try nursing it back -- don't overdo the lighting though -- will just make the bleaching even worse. As long as there is still flesh on the coral, there is hope! Best of luck -- keep us updated and maybe reach out to who you bought it from to tell them

I mean in its own way it’s kind of cool! But how has it looked over the last month? Any growth or recession you have noticed in tissue? Color aside? Have you tried target feeding it at all?

I have tried target feeding and it does eat some mini mysis shrimp. No recession of the tissue or growth seems to be pretty stable where it's at.

Just wanted to give everyone an update. I added a couple other torch corals about 3 weeks ago and the peach tip seems to be extending it's tentacles further and I am seeing a very faint green tinge to some of the tentacles. Hopefully it'll color back up soon!

You should review this post. However, unknown if this will work for torch corals.
I did have the experience of a goniopora picking up a new zooxanthellae which quickly spread across the colony. Unfortunately the colony went from a light pink to a dusky reddish brown. I prefer pink but apparently the colony prefers dusky red. It seems to be growing even better now.

I did attempt this method so we will see if there are some results come Monday when I can view the tank
