Peacock Mantis Shrimp tank upgrade?

So I have had a mantis shrimp for about 6-8 months. He was 4-5 inches when i got him but hes 6-7 inches now. When I first got him he was in a 20 gallon long and is still in the same one. I don't know how big he should be for an upgrade but want to be ready.

I’ve seen a lot of YouTubers and even one of the fish stores by me use a 40g breeder for full grown mantis. Probably start there.
