Hello fellow reefers, I just started up my first tank and am excited to get into the hobby. I was staring at my tank today, as we do, and spotted this little worm coming out of my live rock. It is brown on top and an off white on bottom. It also has a feather duster like mouth that periodically opens and closes(see pictures). He seems like a cool little worm and I’d like to keep him for filtering and all that jazz, however if he posts a hazard to the longevity of my tank he’s gotta go. I’m still early in the cycling process so no live stock(of my choice) in there yet. I tried to do some googling to find out what it is and stumbled across a peanut worm which seems the fit the description however, mine seems kinda small (could be a baby?). Anyways I call upon the biological masterminds of the internet to help me gain some insight, mainly what exactly is it, will it hurt my future livestock, if I need to remove it and what would be the best way to go about that? Please lemme know.
