Peanut worm?

Is this a peanut worm? Is he safe to go back in the tank? Or should he be banished to the sump?

I did some internet sleuthing last night and I think I confirmed my peanut worm theory. You can see in the pic that it’s living in an old snail shell. Here’s what reef builders said about peanut worms “These worms make a living ingesting organic matter from fine sands and silts. They often reside within discarded snail shells (Turbo, Strombus, Cerithium), making these the hermit crabs of the worm world.”
