Hey guys, this might be a stupid question and not a real “emergency” but one of my power heads magnet fell off and it dropped deeper into the tank and made a sand storm that completely filled in my pearly Jawfish’s burrow today while I was gone. I tried to clear the entryway a bit but it still looks filled in and he has not come out for hours. Can he get himself out or is he entombed? :(

I'd dig a little more, you may have to pick up what ever it is under to free it. I don't think it can dig itself out because it wont have anywhere to dump the sand.

I would lift the rock and free the little guy. If you did the hole out be very careful not to fill it in more.

No. I took out the rock and sifted the sand around but I couldn’t find him or a body. He either died and the cuc were all over it or he took off when the sand storm started and he’s hiding somewhere else- but it’s been a week and I haven’t seen him at all.

Mine has been moving around for a month or so from his original homeeven going back to it for a little while & moving again. Didn't see him for a cpl wks.

Sorry to hear :/

I had a green chromis get caught in the rock work and die. crazy and unfortunate indeed.
