For me My new Pectinia that I received about a month ago is the CornBread's Space Invader Pectinia. This thing Is Amazing to me!! Hi
yes my tank has been cycling for 3 months now and I am ready to stock!! I have seen some beautiful pectina corals and any info on placement, lighting feeding would be great! your experience is why I am here!! I have 2 AI color vegas over my 90gallon tank. thanks

As for Placement and Flow. You would think that Pectinias Like Most other LPS would prefer low flow and Low to Moderate light. I have had the best growth and Pectinia happiness in More Moderate Flow and Lower-Moderate Lighting. I have have had the best results putting it on the bottom 1/3 of my tank as far as placement. Also if you get a Frag that has Vertical Pieces like mine(first pic on this Thread) the best thing for growth is to lay it out Flat Maybe over a ledge and a good 4 inches away from any of your prized corals. Isnt Called a Space Invader For nothing ;)

Feeding: Supplemental Feeding with Mysis, Krill and Copepods will help growth, weekly drop of Iodine will help with coloring and for lighting; Any type of setup that produces Moderate Lighting will be good. On a 90 gal I would want Atleast 300 watts Like 6x54W with a nice ATI Spectrum of T5's or 2x250w Metal Halides with a little supplemental lighting.

I have had two for about a year and half, it is in my top three favorite coral species. Mine never eat, I hardly ever even see the polyps...maybe once or twice. They grow very slow for me and are some of the first corals to show signs of low alk. They recover damage very fast, but grow slow. I keep one about five inches off the ground directly under my halides and one about 8 inches off the ground off to the side of the halides in a 28 inch deep tank. Halides are 250w de supplemented with two 80w t5 blue +. They like to have a decent amount of flow and do not like anything settling on them. Hope this helps somebody.
