So I am curious if there is anyone with information on keeping fish on a pellet and algae sheet diet only with no frozen foods with the occasional fresh seafood from the supermarket. My current stock of the 350 gallon consists of a purple tang , lieutenant tang, 2 lyretail anthias , 3 blue chromis, queen angel , koran angel, maroon clown, blue throat trigger and a spiny box puffer. They all eat 2 different types of pellets including the puffer fish who has seemed much healthier since it started eating them.
I know my tank would not produce as much waste without the frozen foods but I also do not want the fish to suffer from not getting more of a variety of food. Has anyone done this long term ?

Pellet is healthier than any frozen food you can get. They are packed with stuff. You could mix up the pellets or soak them in vitachem or some other additive if you'd like but nutritionally they are the best food out there.

I use mairine-land flakes - Discus spawn - My single fish are egg bound - I do not feed Nori or algae (to my tangs) - no LLD (so far) - I do have a ton of natural feeding opportunities in the tank (i.e. not extremely paranoid about algae, etc) - and I do give Larrys frozen food perhaps 2x/week - I feed my fish every day - once. They seem fat and happy - I assume - they are getting a lot of nutrition from the living things in the tank.
