Been using the PEMysis in the little cubes for a bit, mostly cause it was a quick pickup, and they were out of the sheets. I found that I had to rinse it twice before it looked clean.

I picked up two sheets Thursday on the way home from the office. I cut the sheets up into little squares to make it quicker and easier when it comes to feeding time. After rinsing two little squares, it was clear almost the first rinse. I found it was a big difference from the squares in terms of being cleaner.

Anyone find this to be true?

I've never used the cubes, but I have to rinse them from the sheet like 5 times to get clear water.

In your case, maybe the act of forcing the shrimp into the cube shape "breaks" them a bit more, causing extra stuff to be released? Just a guess....

Hmm..not sure, but thats what I kind of assumed. I just thought it was weird last night since I used the sheet for the first time in a while. After it thawed out, the water was almost clear, but I did give it another rinse just in case.

I want to start the sheets. Not impressed with the cubes

Yeah, you get more for your money with the sheets. I open the sheet up frozen, take a big knife to it, and cut up into squares. I then keep these in a rubbermaind container in the freezer. You get the connivence of cubes, but the cost savings of the sheets. I do this same process with my Rods Reef, which is the only other frozen food I feed.

Never used the cubed form either.
Maybe it is from the shrimp being 'forced' into the cubes.
Flat packs are all I use with all my foods.

Yeah, I fed again today with the sheet, and even the first rinse was pretty clear. The cubes were nasty looking after thawing out, but these sheets have been pretty clean. Learned my lesson about using the cubes :)
