Peninsula 650 sump

Hello. I'm thinking of getting a Peninsula 650 for my next tank and running the Triton method. Triton wants 10-20% display volume as a refugium. Based on the info I can find, I don't think the stock refugium section is 14 gallons. So, how easy would it be to remove the stock baffles from the sump and put my own in place? Thanks.

The middle baffle is removeable if you want to make one large chamber.

I would probably want to remove the filter sock holders and return pump chamber as well, and make it a Triton sump.
