Hey guys new to the forum, back in 2012 i built this peninsula style tank and ran it until 2015. Life changes and a selling of one home and a purchase of another i haven't had a reef tank in a few years, i kept the stand and tank in hopes of setting it up again but unfortunately it just didn't fit our layout.

So this happened. The wife and i brought up the stand and could not find a place we were happy with the size or layout of the peninsula style tank. So because of all the work in the stand we decided to adjust the stand to accommodate a Cube style AOI. Let me know what your think!

Thinking either the JBJ 45 Gallon or the Innovative Marine 40. Any other suggestions, I'm willing to do a sump if its the right idea.

Thanks for the input guys!

That's a great adaptation...nice work.

I'll chime in I guess. Although I've never owned an AIO, I personally like the idea of a tank with a separate sump. Just seems like you end up with more room in your display without the back chambers, and all the equipment can be put in the sump, out of sight. Also, the additional water volume of the sump never hurts. It appears you have room left in the stand for a sump so if you're game, I would recommend that route. Just my opinion and I'm sure others will differ.

thanks for chiming in, i definitely think tank with separate sump is better but im not trying to go to over the top, im just afraid once i get back into it im gonna regret not going the sump route.

I wouldn't sweat it too much. There are plenty of terrific looking AIO cubes here on R2R. Go with what you're comfortable with and what you're gut tells you...you're likely to regret not doing so even more!

True. I used to own a biocube and that's when reefing was the best in my opinion. Maybe I'll just go with the biocube 32.
Thanks
