Hey reefers!
I've been researching how to create changing intersections of turbulance with powerheads in a peninsula, but with minimum pump placement at the opposite end from the over flow (the thinnest panel to view through at the end). This is for asthetics, minimum distractions vs the nice, clean rimless look.
It's a 170 gallon and I'm looking at MP40's.
I was going to run two MP40's on the overflow end, one on each side. Then an MP40 would run just underneath the light mount on the opposite end to hide as much as possible. The cable would run across the bracket to the powerhead.
With 3 pumps, would I have a problem with detritus without any pumps on the bottom of the tank? If so, should I consider a different setup of pumps where some are at the bottom of the tank?
Keep in mind I'm trying to have as little obstructions in the view as possible, going for the minimal/clean look.
Attached is a crappy paint image for reference.
Thank you so much!
