We are in the process of planning a peninsula build (225G) and want to see some pics of how peninsula tank owners are mounting lights.

The tank will be a euro braced tank, and hanging from the ceiling is not an option for us in this tanks location.

Thank you
Dave

What did you come up with? I Have a 200 peninsula, and living in an old church my ceiling is too high.

I got pipe benders and bent a couple of 1" conduit, painted them black and screwed them to the wall. It works fine but pretty annoying to change the T5 bulbs. I'm thinking of redoing it something like the above but with some sort of swivel so I can swing the fixture out away from the tank while working on the lights.

Here is what I ended up doing.

I know your question was for the OP but have you considered a swivel TV mount. This was something I had considered for my peninsula but fell back to the ceiling mount also.

Looks great! Is that 8020 type aluminum painted black?
Similar to 8020, just a competitor product that you can get readily available in black or silver at many places online.

It did have more deflection than I thought (and much more than SolidWorks told me I would), but a few adjustments and it is level now and I am happy with it.

Interesting! No, I didn't know such a thing existed.
That could possibly be made to work- but I found the right kind of swivel at 8020 so I might just go that way.

can you provide a component list? Looking to do this for my 210g peninsula. Thanks!
