Peninsula tank stand and canopy

David,
I put the build on hold for awhile I had to have a hip replaced, and I was afraid to drill the tank
But I finally got the tank drilled, and got the tank in place. The plumbing starts this week.

Hope all is well with the hip replacement!! Have you decided on how your going to incorporate the post yet? (On a side note it might not hurt to seal up that post with some paint and caulking to keep as much salt away from it as possible, couldn't find it in the thread so figured I'd at least mention it)

Josh, the hip is ok, had the first one done over seven years ago, good idea on the post, I never thought about that

John, thanks for the update. Sounds like you're on the road to recovery. Glad things went well with the surgery. Good to hear you're back under way with the build.

I need to get this done, I have a house about 35 miles from where I am living, I have an older brother that lives there, I had a 125 that sprung a leak last week and I had to take it t down. I saved the fish and a bunch of zooanthids so this needs to get done

Tagging along. Interesting build.

Not sure what you're doing with the ceiling but if you spray the entire thing (joists, wires, plumbing, etc.) flat black it all disappears and looks "finished" for 1/100th of the price of putting in drywall (bad idea in a basement anyways) or a suspended ceiling. Just do it before you do the reef.
