Hi there,
I was wondering if there are any.. plumbing experts out here that could answer a question..I think my UV light’s bulb needs to be replaced and the sleeve needs cleaning. The tank was left by the previous owners and I’m too scared to try to disassemble it before getting some guidance..

I can’t take out the lamp/sleeve because it’s totally against the wall..

Wondering if.. I can turn off the power to the UV, and then somehow disconnect the UV sterilizer unit by untwisting that black.. thing?

I feel like if I unscrew these yellow screws the board will come out and I can pull the sterilizer out...maybe?

just trying to learn... to maintenance and crossing fingers I don’t ruin anything...
Thank you for reading :)

I’m not familiar with that particular UV but it looks like the bulb and sleeve will slot in/out from the end were it’s plugged in on the left hand side by unscrewing it.

If thats the case you could unscrew the union connectors near both ends were it connects to the plumbing (you've highlighted one of them in yellow) and lift it out

Obviously turn the power off to it before you do anything and also turn off the feed pump to the UV or you’ll get very wet! Lol

Lol, hmm to get to the bulb end it should have been mounted opposite end around, that being said, kinda makes me laugh at the job they left you with, yep you can remove it by unscrewing the black thingies on both ends or possibly the white thingies on both ends.
Looks like it was installed by an english car manufacturer and reminds me of looking under the bonnet of my X351 Jag.
In order to get one simple job done you need to remove 10 other things, easy way out, stay dry and pay someone else to do it

Thank you guys for your help! I will attempt... to unscrew the black union connectors and see if I can pull the sterilizer out...

My sump area is also so tight that it might be too difficult to rebuild the piping for the UV...

Well I hope I don't accidentally get water everywhere.. because all the outlets are near by it... YAY!!!! hahahha
