I just discovered that the quartz sleeve in my Pentair EU40 came apart at some point (awhile ago by the looks of it). This means the bulb got flooded. Obviously the bulb is dead but how do I test if the power supply is dead to? Pricing out the various parts I may need I’m starting to get up toward the cost of a brand new unit (ugh).
bulb
quartz sleeve
gasket
ceramic ring
full set of Orings (why not at this point)
power supply maybe

That power supply is I think a ballast.
All bulbs have a ballast. Like t5 etc
You will need a multimeter. Goto ohms
Put one probe on hot wire and other on neutral.
If ballast is working the needle will sweep.
If something goes wrong. I am not responsible.

Best idea is to goto Electrician forum.
