Peppermint shrimp and vermetid snails?

I bought a lovely mushroom colony about a month ago. When I put it in my Evo, I noted that it also had quite a few vermetid snails. I'd been meaning to do something about them, but when I looked at them last week I couldn't see any webs...but did see my peppermint shrimp hovering over them. I haven't seen any webs since. Do peppermint shrimp eat these things?

Yes they do. I have personally watched them but not enough to keep them under control.
