So I've got a peppermint shrimp in a Nuvo 10 with a pair of clowns, CUC and live rock now. All my coral is in a QT frag tank ready to move into my 10g, however when I started placing some SPS in the tank, the peppermint shrimp started ripping polyps off and eating the coral. Am I not feeding this guy enough? I don't go out of my way to feed him, but I do make sure he gets mysis and pellets every time I feed.

I would remove the shrimp. They are Notorious for going after LPS as well.

Can you get a pic of the shrimp? There are different species of peppermint shrimp so Im wondering if you know which one you purchased or can tell by the markings?

L Wurdemanni are supposedly the “reef with caution” species. A lot of LFS sell the L. Boggessi. Can you match the pattern?

So are the boggessi considered reef safe or are you saying the only ones that have a shot are the Wurdemanni?

any idea which are best at aiptasia removal?

There's also Lysmata vitatta from the barrier reef. I have two in my nano and they don't touch my LPS and got rid of the two aptasia I could see.

It looks more like a Camel Shrimp....they are aggressive!
